About the project

One VR environment.
Many learning activities.

The Mansion was developed for Yoya, an Israeli education company bringing VR learning experiences into schools. The system connects a web authoring tool with a VR learning experience and learner performance dashboard. Developed as a final academic project at HIT.

The challenge was to support flexible content, meaningful practice and assessment, Hebrew support, and a learner flow that stays clear inside VR - all within one reusable environment.

The Mansion is a reusable VR learning system developed for Yoya, an Israeli education company that brings VR learning experiences into schools. Educators create activities, students complete them in VR, and educators review learner performance.

Learning unfolds
inside the mansion.

Learners use a game code to enter the mansion and access an activity created by their educator. A guide character introduces first-time VR users to movement and the core interactions before the activity begins. On a virtual tablet, they receive content items, search the rooms for matching evidence, photograph it, and get immediate feedback. Completing all matches unlocks the next room.

Students enter with a game code and, if needed, complete a short VR onboarding. A virtual tablet gives them content items to match with evidence in the rooms. They photograph evidence and get immediate feedback. Completing all matches unlocks the next room.

Built for flexible
content.

Educators can create and publish activities in the authoring tool, review learner performance in the dashboard, or use the API reference to let an AI agent build and publish a game. The same VR environment can support new activities without being rebuilt, reducing the time and effort required to create and update content.

Testing changed
the experience.

Evaluation with Yoya representatives, adult VR users, and experts highlighted ways to improve control, navigation, and guidance.Testing with Yoya representatives, adult VR users, and experts highlighted improvements to control, navigation, and guidance.
